Okuno’s History

While Okuno was established in 1905 we did not enter the surface finishing market until 1950. Our beginnings were in food additives the Okuno surface finishing division has grown to be the strongest parts of our company. Most of our employees are in research and development, as we believe in always improving the industries we are in. Our strong investment in both our R&D teams and facilities has lead us to develop the chemicals platers will need in the future while always improving existing processes and chemicals.

In this effort we try to help make “Greener Chemicals” that are not only safer for the
environment but also safer for the workers in the shop.
